A while back I posted about my collection of journals and what that has meant to me over the years. At the time I wrote that post, I had every intention of keeping up with a paper journal and posting to this site. Now, I see this site slowly replacing the journals as my memory repository. There's just too much of it and frankly most of it isn't very interesting even to me, but there is some stuff from some of my more recent writings that I'll probably get around to sharing. It's funny how thinking about the past does make you want to listen to the music as well. I did listen to some old faves at the gym this morning although I listened on my ipod as opposed to my walkman tape player as I did in HS and college. I don’t think I’ll be transcribing any of it to online. There’s just too much of it and frankly most of it isn’t very interesting even to me, but there is some stuff from some of my more recent writings that I’ll probably get around to sharing.

I've been keeping a notebook from a young age as well, and I still try to find a minute here and there to jot down my thoughts. Ever since my son's birth, I've been thinking about some people I grew up with, and have tried to reforge those bonds. It's a nice feeling to know that the past can be brought back into our present.
