I get to rant in an email *and* on my blog! I expect at some point people here will get tired of my Jericho rants, which is why I’ve held off on doing anything with the terrible static electricity bit from last week. We’ll see how long my resolve holds.

True confession time: I had no idea there was an error until I read it elsewhere. I only posted it to undercut my implicit claim that I wasn’t a comic book geek.

You are such a comic book geek, being all serious about my throwaway joke. And you ignored the real issue: Hiro cited Kitty Pride’s time travel from X-Men #143 when it really happened in #141-142. I did like Peter’s power — sort of a tweaked version of Rogue’s powers.

Love the show, but it bothers me that the writers are making it up as it goes. That’ll be the downfall of the show

FYI: Heroes just got picked up by NBC for the whole year.
The same happened for Jericho over on CBS. Just thought I’d pass on the good TV news.

Spoiler warning, I guess.

I’m not sure it’s established that Niki’s alter ego has no superhuman powers. She certainly seems able to kick all kinds of ass. I liked the revelation this week that Peter’s power may be to replicate the powers of those nearby. I’m sure there’s a comic book equivalent for this, but it’s not coming to mind. Prodigy from New X-Men has something similar, but for knowledge and skills only, not superpowers.

Agreed re: Hiro. For one thing, he’s the only one who’s remotely funny, or seems to be having a good time. No doubt I’m influenced by watching a bunch of Buffy and Angel right now, but I appreciate a sense of fun amidst the action and drama.

My favorite bit so far, though, is the subtle replication of the little symbol, kind of an S with some branches coming off of it. So far I’ve seen it in the gaps of Suresh’s encrypted code, in the pool next to the mind-reading cop, on the cover of Suresh’s book, and (this week) on Bizarro Niki’s shoulder.
