It’s a…

Foot!

We’re having a foot! Actually, it’s still a baby with all the usual parts. There was just a foot in the way of one particular part that we kinda wanted to see today. But all is well and he/she is healthy. I gained two pounds and considering the baby weighs 1.5, I think that’s pretty good. My doctor says we can check for gender next month when I’m in, if their schedule isn’t too far behind.

Hooray! You are having a foot.

In honor of this occassion, I think I am going to read the Foot Book (I’ve never read it before).

“In the house and on the street,
How many different feet you meet.”

    Somehow it seems appropriate.

Those last two are startlingly clear…you really have a little person in there. Wow.

Yes, there is a person in there and he/she announces that with his/her feet to my diaphragm about every half hour. Man can this one kick!

  1. [...] So, for the time being, I am putting it out of my mind. I will figure out what to do when the baby gets here. Right now, the best thing that I can do to prepare is to get the house ready for the baby. To that end, I will be fixing up what will be the nursery very soon now. Unless the ultrasound comes back that we are having a foot, we should know the gender of the baby on Wednesday. Here’s hoping, anyways. Stay tuned for more updates and I promise to post another pregnant picture of Ashley soon. [...]
