I really enjoyed reading Clarke when I was growing up. I was a big sci-fi junkie as a teen and haven’t really grown out of it (although my tastes have branched out).

Okay, it may have been because I was sitting on the couch at your house last night when I first read about this, but my first thought was, "I wish I could talk to Stephen about this." I'm not extensively read on Clarke [or any scifi, really, no doubt much to my "I've had an Analog subscription since the 1960's" father's chagrin], but I have enjoyed the stuff I've read, plus ... you know, geostat.
