Kaethe: We are going on a trip later this month and so I needed to wean her a bit before then. She is especially sensitive to changes so I wanted to give her plenty of time to adjust before we leave her with Grandma and Grandpa.

So, if I may inquire: how did you decide today would be the last day? As I recall I didn’t wean either of mine until I just couldn’t take it anymore. If you aren’t ready to give it up, why are you?

Sometimes I wonder if this is why women hired themselves out as wet nurses in the past. I sometimes miss the closeness with Z.
