Although as the Wikipedia page reminds me: In the United Kingdom, the game is marketed under the title "Hungry Hippos", omitting the duplicated "hungry". I don't know why that is. Maybe being HUNGRY hungry is just a bit too American for a British audience? Or maybe the idea is that it's quicker and easier to ask "want to play Hungry Hippos?" which saves valuable time that would be better spent actually thumping those hippos.
