I Pretended to Be a Rocket Scientist and Talked About Gas Mileage

We’re visiting family all weekend, so in the meantime, here’s me talking about whether or not you can improve your gas mileage by keeping your tank half full for a MarketWatch story.

    I am leaving this comment to note that, by age 45, you’re going to be a hypermiler. I just want it on the record so I can gloat when it happens.

    We have a friend that’s a hypermiler. I’m still not convinced that all of the theories are completely sound, but he’s determined to get better gas mileage, so, whatever floats his boat.

    Yeah, I’m not going to be hypermiling. You very quickly reach diminishing returns, and start doing silly things like putting magnets on your fuel lines.
