True, our constitution is already the longest in-use constitution in the world. Yes, it&#8217;s been amended to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.state.al.us\/CodeOfAlabama\/Constitution\/1901\/CA-246325.htm\">let officials dispose of dead animals and dig up human graves<\/a>, to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.state.al.us\/CodeOfAlabama\/Constitution\/1901\/CA-246292.htm\">get rid of the boll weevil<\/a>, and to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.state.al.us\/CodeOfAlabama\/Constitution\/1901\/CA-245632.htm\">forbid dead officials from drawing a salary<\/a>. But we can&#8217;t rest on our laurels. We&#8217;re up to <a href=\"http:\/\/alisondb.legislature.state.al.us\/acas\/CodeOfAlabama\/Constitution\/1901\/CA-1612580.htm\">Amendment 799<\/a>, which was an amendment of <a href=\"http:\/\/alisondb.legislature.state.al.us\/acas\/CodeOfAlabama\/Constitution\/1901\/CA-1240673.htm\">Amendment 756<\/a>.
