But it&#8217;s the computer animation that made it so cutting-edge: blocky characters, a blocky dog, and blocky appliances cavorting about a blocky world. To be fair, Pixar&#8217;s stuff was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixar.com\/shorts\/ljr\/\">just then getting started<\/a>. This was the first video played on MTV in Britain, making it the overseas equivalent to <i>Video Killed the Radio Star<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><b>The White Stripes: Fell In Love With a Girl (2001)<\/b><br \/>\n<object width=\"425\" height=\"350\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/v5d2FKJ17Qo\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/v5d2FKJ17Qo\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Michael Gondry takes a break from working with Bj\u00c3\u00b6rk to direct this Lego-tastic video.
