My Little Houdini

This is how I found Liza this morning. Her velcro swaddle blanket is suppose to stay closed and keep her snuggly all night. I guess it doesn’t work so well any more or maybe she’s Supergirl.

And a bonus baby product: the bumbo seat. Designed to keep baby upright, as long as she can hold her head up. (Stephen is just off camera waiting to catch when she pitches forward.)

Nice. Zameen has started learning how to take off his pajamas. Many is the morning we go in to get him and find he’s sitting there smiling at us in just a onesie.

I guess it’s not too long before he figures out how to escape from that, too.

Looking at Eli and Liza, they look so alike. When they get older, you’re going to have boys and girls lined up at the door. Perhaps the shotgun will come in handy after all. ;)

    Your babies are adorable!

When I was just under a year old, my mother swears I would climb out of my crib, crawl outside, strip off my clothes, and go swimming in the (very shallow) creek.

You make me glad Liza’s not that advanced yet.

We never had much luck with swaddling — either the swaddle blankets you buy in the store or the technique they taught us in the hospital (which I call “how to make a baby burrito”).

Maybe that’s why my daughter likes to move around so much when she sleeps. I pity her future husband, who will be summarily kicked off the bed quite often.
