Do you know how hard it is to type with your keyboard on your desk but while cowering underneath said desk? To say nothing of the thumb-sucking going on …
The worst I’ve ever heard was YEARS ago when a 40 Meg (Yes. Meg. Not Gig.) Seagate failed with the head broken off the end of the arm and the remaining metal bent down and scraping against the platter.
What’s awesome about everyone watching the video is that you have the post title, and the still frame of the movie tells you what it’s going to be about. And yet you can’t help but listen anyway.
This would make one of the best noise albums next to “Solo for Wounded CD” ever.

I thought I could tough it out and not flinch but the second to last one caused an involuntary shudder.
Gah! I knew better! I tried not, but the cringe just becomes automatic after a while. Ugh.
*cringe*

Oh yeah. It definitely has that “can’t look away from the train wreck” quality to it.
By the way, did you notice that one of these drives was making the noise that we used for “blue screen” DCTV bump a couple of years ago?
