Sometimes, a band’s disparate elements will come together into a single amazing song.

“Antarctica,” off of The Weepies’ new album Hideaway, is that song for me right now.

    Oh yes. That one struck me quickly when I heard it, and was the first song off of that album to go into near-constant repeat. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

    Yeah, that was the track that gave me hope that they weren’t going to be a one-album wonder. I was really worried that they’d never approach the awesome of, say, “Painting by Chagall” or “World Spins Madly On” again.
