Sadly, the story cannot live up to what all of you have imagined. I’ve just recently run into a rash of people saying deeply unfunny things prefaced with, “So, funny story…” and then going on to say how the server’s crashed or the software wasn’t properly checked in.
I guess that falls under the same category as “to make a long story short” (usually too late) and “I don’t mean to be rude, but…” (yes you do you liar)!!!
